For years we have watched the American Medical Association — which claims to represent the values of physicians — put profits over patients. Last year, we watched the AMA use member dues to help fund the Partnership for America’s Health Care Future, a group devoted solely to blocking improved Medicare for All.

We are tired of watching. We are ready to march.

Join us on June 8 in Chicago to rally against the AMA and their deplorable relationship with the Partnership. Partner organizations like National Nurses United, the Illinois Single Payer Coalition, Democratic Socialists of America, Our Revolution, Jane Addams Senior Caucus, and others will be joining in solidarity to demand the AMA drop its opposition to single-payer reform.

1:30 p.m. — Rally outside Blue Cross Blue Shield headquarters (300 E. Randolph St.)

2:00 p.m. — March to the Hyatt Regency (151 E. Wacker Dr.) for our rally outside the AMA’s annual meeting.

Confirmed speakers include Drs. Claudia Fegan (PNHP national coordinator) and Adam Gaffney (PNHP president), as well as representatives from Students for a National Health Program (SNaHP).

Be sure to post to social media during the rally using the hashtag #AMAGetOutTheWay.
