February 7: Expand the Debate

On Tuesday night, February 7, 2017, Senators Bernie Sanders and Ted Cruz will debate the Affordable Care Act on CNN from 9 to 10:30 pm Eastern. But who will be there to speak to the solution that a majority of people in the United States support – National Improved Medicare for All? Nobody!

It’s up to us to use this opportunity to expand the debate.

Here are some ideas and tools for you:

1. Post debate Facebook Live – We are organizing leaders within the movement for National Improved Medicare for All to hold Facebook Live events for 30 minutes after the debate to respond to what was said and take questions. Responses will start at 10:30 pm Eastern. Here is a list of Facebook pages where you can participate:

2. Debate-watching and discussion – Hold a debate-watching party in your home or at a local gathering spot. It will take place from 9 to 10:30 pm Eastern/6 to 7:30 pm Pacific on CNN. Hold a discussion afterwards about how National Improved Medicare for All is superior to the ACA and how to organize to win it. Please let us know the when and where if you are planning one so we can add it to the Action Map. Contact info@healthoverprofit.org.
